These animations are commissions from various university systems in both the UK and the US. In each case I am both animator and illustrator with scripts provided by the commissioning educator.
What is Intersectionality?
I recently had the good fortune to work with Professor Peter Hopkins and the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Fund at Newcastle University to create an educational animation and teaching resource on the topic of Intersectionality.
Firefighter Cancer Initiative
In 2017, I had the good fortune to work with Tyler Harrison at the University of Miami and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center on these animations to educate and recruit participants for their Firefighter Cancer Initiative. The animations have served them well, with viewership upwards of 40,000.
University of Miami and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center
I have had the good fortune to work on several short educational animations with Dr. Susan Morgan at the University of Miami. These animations center on aspects of clinical trial enrolment for cancer trials and play internally within the uMiami and Sylvester Cancer Center screens.
Association for Size Diversity and Health (ASDAH)
The Problem with Poodle Science is an animation commissioned by ASDAH (Association for Size Diversity and Health). Its script (written by Deb Burgard) attempts to debunk popular thinking about fatness as pathology. Its canine metaphors made it a delight to draw and I also provided the voiceover and audio editing (sound effects).
